Waterton Lakes Golf Course is undergoing
a fairly major alteration this year. Parks Canada and the Golf
Course are working together to build a large pond between the
6th and the 12th fairways. This pond will be used to provide
water for the course and will serve as a secondary sewage lagoon for
the park. The huge amount of gravel that will be removed to
produce the pond will be used to create mounding between the 6th and
the 7th fairways making both holes more distinct from one
another, a condition that is badly needed. The shots below show
the
early construction and I will be pleased to update the photo essay as
the construction progresses.
