Course Construction 2007

Waterton Lakes Golf Course has undergone a fairly major alteration during the past few years.  Parks Canada and the Golf Course are working together to build a large pond between the 6th and the 12th fairways.  This pond will be used to provide water for the course and will serve as a secondary sewage lagoon for the park.  The huge amount of gravel that will be removed to produce the pond will be used to create mounding between the 6th and the 7th fairways and the second and third fairways making these holes more distinct from one another.

The pond is now ready to supply the golf course with water and is also ready to gobble errant golf balls from holes 6 and 12.  Gravel removed during the construction of the pond has been used to provide much needed mounding in several locations on the course.
