Hiking In Waterton Lakes National Park

The main activity in the park besides golfing is hiking.  Hiking remains the best way to take advantage of nature viewing, photography, fishing and basic exploring in the park.  The trails are very well marked, well maintained and take you to a wide variety of incredible places.  The following trails are divided into groups according to the difficulty and time it would take for each walk.  Be prepared: take water, extra clothing and some food to eat.  Make sure you have a camera to record the things you will encounter on your trips.  Remember, you are in the home of the wild animals.  Don't feed them.  The saying that "A fed bear is a dead bear" is all too often true and applies to other animals as well.
